Job summary

Ouster, Inc. is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer for the firmware team in San Francisco, onsite.

You will contribute to RTL development, verification, and testing powering our lidar systems, working with a talented team to optimize real-time sensor performance and system integration. Required: Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering, 2+ years FPGA development, SystemVerilog/Verilog, and experience with Vivado or Quartus, AXI interconnects, and Git.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2+ years FPGA development including HDL code development, simulation, test bench development, synthesis, and timing closure.
• High proficiency in SystemVerilog or Verilog and C/C++.
• Hands-on with FPGA toolchains (Vivado/Quartus) and AXI interconnects.
• Experience with Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to RTL development, verification, and testing for lidar systems.
• Assist with system integration and real-time sensor optimization.
• Collaborate on design reviews and cross-team execution.
