Job summary

Quantum Computing Inc. in Hoboken, NJ seeks an FPGA Design Engineer to join our Hardware team, working with quantum scientists and engineers to develop prototypes and photonic-based products across quantum computing and related applications.

The role focuses on real-time FPGA design, RTL coding, verification, and integration of multiple FPGAs with lab equipment, in a fast-paced, collaborative environment; a BS in EE/CE is required, with MS preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering required.
• MS degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of FPGA design experience.
• Proficiency with RTL simulation and testbenches.
• Experience with Altera/Intel or Xilinx FPGAs and tools.
• Experience with lab equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and implement real-time computational and digital algorithms using FPGAs.
• Develop RTL code for multiple projects; optimize efficiency and scalability.
• Integrate multiple FPGAs and hardware devices into quantum device architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design systems per customer feedback.
• Design, implement, simulate, and test FPGA logic and systems.
• Document architectures, test results, and source code.
