Job summary

L3Harris in Cincinnati seeks a Specialist, FPGA/ASIC Hardware Engineer to architect, design and develop electronic safe and arm devices for DoD weapon systems. The role focuses on Verilog FPGA design, SystemVerilog UVM verification and C# microcontroller development.

You will work on ASIC/FPGA designs with sensor interfaces, timing, state machines, and communication protocols, collaborating with hardware and firmware teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of related experience; graduate degree reduces experience need
• Graduate Degree with 2+ years of related experience
• Or 8+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, architecture, design and debug FPGA/hardware and firmware.
• Develop Verilog HDL targeting Antifuse and enhanced Flash FPGA’s.
• Analyze functional issues or performance with hardware and firmware in test environments.
• Contribute to processes to improve hardware-firmware quality and time-to-market.
