Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Syracuse, NY is seeking an FPGA Engineer to develop, verify and document ASIC/FPGA solutions. You will shape architecture, logic design and system simulation across the full design lifecycle.

You will design digital signal processing, high-speed interfaces and radar-related firmware, work with Xilinx/Intel devices, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with program leadership. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field with 7+ years of experience.
• FPGA architecture and design experience with Xilinx/Altera devices.
• Digital board design knowledge to support FPGAs.
• Ability to develop technical solutions for complex problems in FPGA/board design.

Responsibilities

• Perform FPGA firmware architecture and/or digital board designs.
• Design DSP, messaging, control, and high-speed communications.
• Interface with program leadership and teammates regularly.
• Estimate, break down and plan firmware workstreams.
