Role Summary
The Assistant Store Manager supports the selling, service, and operations of the store to achieve an inspiring environment founded on fitness, wellness, and happiness. This includes collaborating with others, supporting store processes and visual needs, and developing the team.
Role Responsibilities
Brand Experience
- Acts as a brand ambassador and reflects the company values; partners with the leadership team on creating an engaging visual experience that appeals to the FP Movement customer.
- Creates selling initiatives that enhance the customer experience; encourages the team to build lasting relationships through personalized service, product recommendations, and connecting with the customer on shared interests of wellness and fitness.
- Supports the Store Manager in developing consistent event programming that reflects local customer interests to drive engagement; supports the execution of events with fitness and wellness partners.
- Delivers a seamless, omni-channel shopping and event experience through understanding and utilization of MPOS, POS, and FP App.
Leadership + Team Management
- Guides the team to prioritize customer service and styling recommendations to drive metrics and achieve store goals; provides employees with timely and specific feedback to foster a culture of action and accountability.
- Participates as the manager-on-duty by driving engagement in each zone through communication, adaptability, and fostering a collaborative selling environment; exhibits strong decision-making and multi-tasking capabilities.
- Supports the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and retaining top talent; facilitates onboarding for new hires to strengthen brand, customer, and store connection.
Visual + Business Operations
- Sustains daily operating standards by assessing sales forecasts and supporting scheduling and payroll to ensure effective zone management.
- Uses company tools to analyze business opportunities within product placement, outfitting, and stock levels; networks with local community to identify fitness partnerships and events that drive brand engagement and sales.
- Collaborates with partners to execute shipment processing, restocking, and maintaining visual standards; ensures omni-channel orders are processed timely and accurately.
- Adheres to safety standards, maintains inventory accuracy, reduces product loss, and upholds company policies to support store profitability.
Communication + Relationships
- Leads with an inclusive, people-first approach; encourages open dialogue and supports team members at all levels.
- Ensures important company communication reaches all team members; facilitates sharing of event programming, product knowledge, trends, visual priorities, and brand messaging.
- Provides insights on customer experience feedback to the Store Manager.
- Protects time with direct reports for development; sets goals and provides feedback for growth.
Role Qualifications
- 1+ years of store leadership experience.
- Passion for FP Movement and/or connection to the local fitness community.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Range
Starting from USD $24.00/hour.
