Responsibilities

  • Support future EPBCS phases, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with Oracle/partners as needed.
  • Maintain system integrity, security, workflows, data structures, and performance.
  • Develop system docs and end-user training materials.
  • Collaborate with Finance/IT to implement improvements and support FP&A processes.

FP&A Systems Administrator

Position Overview

The FP&A Systems Administrator serves as the primary administrator and technical resource for Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS), ensuring the platform is reliable, effective, secure, and aligned with the needs of the Finance organization.

Approximately 70% of the role will focus on Oracle EPBCS administration, implementation, optimization, troubleshooting, and user support, while the remaining 30% will support FP&A activities. This role provides an opportunity to apply technical expertise while remaining closely connected to financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance processes.

The position will collaborate closely with Finance, IT, business stakeholders, Oracle, and external implementation partners to enhance system functionality, streamline planning processes, resolve technical issues, and support the continued development of financial planning capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary system administrator for Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS).
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Oracle EPBCS applications, metadata, business rules, security, forms, dashboards, workflows, and reporting.
  • Lead annual budget setup, initialization, and related system activities within Oracle EPBCS.
  • Support future phases of Oracle EPBCS implementation, upgrades, enhancements, and system improvements.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, respond to user inquiries, and coordinate complex technical issues with Oracle and external implementation partners when necessary.
  • Maintain system integrity, user security, workflows, data structures, and application performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation, reporting capabilities, system functionality, and financial planning processes.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, technical documentation, and end-user training materials.
  • Partner with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to identify requirements and implement system improvements.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial planning processes through Oracle EPBCS.
  • Assist with financial reporting and analysis to maintain an understanding of business performance and financial planning requirements.
  • Support monthly and quarterly financial reviews by preparing reports and providing system-generated insights.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and assist in identifying key business drivers, trends, and variances.
  • Perform ad hoc financial reporting, analysis, and system-related requests as needed.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships across Finance, IT, and other business functions.
  • Provide guidance and support to users to promote effective adoption and utilization of the planning platform.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience administering Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS) or a comparable Oracle EPM platform.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring, maintaining, administering, and supporting Oracle EPBCS applications.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and reporting processes.
  • Experience managing metadata, business rules, security, forms, workflows, dashboards, and reporting within Oracle EPBCS.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work with complex financial data and reporting.
  • Experience with JD Edwards and Tableau is preferred.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical and system solutions.
  • Ability to build productive working relationships with Finance, IT, business stakeholders, vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with cross-functional teams.
