Job summary

Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Intern for a 12-week Summer 2027 program in the Chicagoland area. You will support financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting, with exposure to global consolidation and variance analysis.

You will collaborate on a cross-functional case study, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and gain exposure to Sales, Marketing, Legal, IT, and HR teams while preparing materials for leadership reviews.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a full‑time bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date in 2028 or 2029.
• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong academic standing preferred, with a minimum GPA of 3.2.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to business-critical projects that support financial planning, analysis, and operational decision-making.
• Assist with month-end reporting activities, including global consolidation of financial results and variance analysis against budget and prior-year performance.
• Support the preparation of executive reporting materials and financial presentations for leadership.
• Participate in the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles.
• Perform data analysis and reporting to support business partners across Sales, Marketing, Legal, IT, R&D, and HR.
• Analyze financial data, identify trends, and develop insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Attend and actively participate in team meetings and project discussions.
• Collaborate with fellow interns on a 12-week cross‑functional case study project and present recommendations to senior leaders.
• Gain exposure to multiple finance disciplines through networking and professional development opportunities.
