Job summary

Morningstar is seeking an FP&A Systems Manager to own budgeting, forecasting, workforce and compensation planning across Oracle PBCS/PCMCS, Narrative Reporting, and Adaptive Planning. You’ll ensure governance, translate FP&A needs into system solutions, and partner with Finance Tech on implementation.

The role blends finance process ownership with technical platform fluency and reports to the Director of Finance Business Intelligence in Chicago.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in FP&A or related finance roles with hands-on budgeting/forecasting/workforce planning.
• Experience with management reporting, allocations, and close-adjacent reporting processes.
• 3+ years of experience with an enterprise planning platform and admin-like capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end budgeting, forecasting and planning cycles including workforce and compensation planning.
• Build and maintain ad hoc reports, dashboards, and data extracts from FP&A systems.
• Act as day-to-day FP&A system lead, triaging questions and escalating issues to tech teams.
• Lead discovery, requirements gathering, and solution design for planning system enhancements.
• Drive platform governance, release management, testing, deployment readiness, and user adoption.
