Job summary

University of Utah seeks an FP&A Partner to provide comprehensive financial planning, analysis, reporting, and transactional support for assigned academic and administrative units. You will partner with unit leadership to deliver forecasts, insights, and robust financial models to guide decisions.

The role encompasses budgeting, variance analysis, month-end closings, and ensuring policy alignment across departments.

Qualifications

• Equivalency allowed: 1 year of higher education can substitute for 1 year of related work experience.
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalency) + 4 years of related work experience OR Master's degree (or equivalency) + 2 years of related work experience.
• Preference may be given to current University staff with eligibility for Expression of Interest and immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of unit operations, objectives, and financial drivers.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance explanations.
• Prepare financial reports and respond to ad hoc data requests.
• Review invoices, contracts, and funding to ensure budget alignment.
• Collaborate with units to improve financial processes and reporting.
