Mission Critical Group seeks an FP&A Manager who will be embedded with local leadership, providing real-time financial insight that shapes strategy, profitability, and growth. This role blends traditional finance with analytics to support fast-paced, operational decision-making.

You’ll be a true business partner, influencing budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives across regional portfolio companies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related function; PE portfolio experience helpful, but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a business partner—with influence on operational decisions through financial insight.
• Advanced Excel skills including complex financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data manipulation.
• Hands-on experience with at least one AI platform (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of GAAP, management accounting, and financial statement analysis.
• Experience with percentage of completion accounting or construction/project-based industries is a significant plus.
• Exceptional communication skills—ability to present complex financial information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages with variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year.
• Build rolling forecasts and dynamic financial models to support real-time decision-making.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses on project-level profitability and POC reviews for construction operations.
• Monitor KPIs such as revenue, EBITDA, gross margin, backlog, and cash conversion cycles.
• Partner with local operations to embed in reviews, kick-offs, and strategy sessions.
• Assist pricing models, bid/no-bid decisions, and financial impact assessments of initiatives.
• Support M&A due diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition tracking.
• Prepare board-ready and sponsor-ready materials including MBRs and budget presentations.
• Collaborate on consolidations and intercompany reporting.
