Job summary

Nova Clean Energy, LLC is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its in-office Chicago finance team. You will own FP&A support, long-range cash forecasting, and project spend tracking, while building BI dashboards for leadership.

The role includes transaction diligence, budget management, and frequent interactions with project managers and executives in a fast-moving clean energy platform. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in corporate finance or FP&A, strong Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and excellent

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Engineering.
• 2+ years experience in corporate finance, FP&A, investment banking, or a related analytical role.
• Advanced Excel skills: index/match, lookups, pivot tables, SUMIF, and multi-tab models.
• BI tools experience (Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
• Excellent PowerPoint skills; able to present materials to senior stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Renewable energy or project finance experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Forecasts on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis; report variances against budget and prior actuals.
• Assist with monthly cash reporting and coordinate with accounting for accurate reporting across entities.
• Spearhead the annual budgeting process and manage report distribution to stakeholders.
• Build long-range cash forecasting models across the project portfolio including development spend and funding milestones.
• Develop dashboards and data visualizations to communicate financial and operational performance to leadership.
• Support diligence on divestments, acquisitions, partnerships, and capital raises; prepare investment memos.
