Pivotal Consulting is a technology management consulting firm helping Fortune 500 companies enhance performance by aligning People, Process, and Technology. We are seeking an FP&A Financial Analyst with OneStream expertise for an 18-month engagement with a Seattle banking client.

The role focuses on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting to deliver timely insights and actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance or related field.
• Experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Working knowledge of OneStream for planning, reporting, or analysis.
• Strong financial modeling and variance analysis skills.
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and large data sets.
• Ability to translate financial results into business recommendations.
• Detail-oriented with data validation across sources.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management with financial and non-financial audiences.
• Independent consultant mindset while collaborating with client teams.

Responsibilities

• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
• Analyze actual results vs. budget/forecast; identify drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain financial models for scenario analysis and expense planning.
• Use OneStream for planning, reporting, data validation, and analysis.
• Collaborate with accounting and business partners to validate data and reconcile reporting.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly management reports, dashboards, and leadership presentations.
• Support month-end reporting and provide financial commentary.
• Evaluate operating expenses, headcount, and departmental performance with partners.
• Improve planning processes, reporting consistency, and data quality.
• Document reporting requirements and planning assumptions for repeatable processes.
