Job description

Company Description

We were early to the fight against Ubiquitous Technical Surveillance and we’ve been pushing the edge ever since.

Our mission is to help government and enterprise organizations understand and manage commercial data risks, shape their digital signatures, and operate with confidence in an increasingly complex information landscape. We build and integrate advanced, tech-forward solutions to problems our customers often don’t know they have – until it matters most.

We move fast, think critically, and deliver where it counts.

What’s in it for you?

We work hard and do fun things.

You’ll work on high-impact, technically challenging problems alongside a team that values teamwork over competition. Veilant offers a solid work-life balance and flexible remote work options. At Veilant, you’ll work with the most talented software developers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts, building tools and systems that make a real difference.

The FP&A Analyst, Program Operations will serve as a key finance partner to our leadership and the operational programs team. This person will work closely with Program Managers across the portfolio to support budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, revenue planning, financial reporting, and program performance analysis.

Our Program Managers are managing multiple priorities across complex customer work, and this role exists to bring dedicated financial focus to the operational portfolio. The right person will help PMs stay ahead of program financials, identify risks early, support decision making, and provide forward looking insight into program execution.

This is not a back-office reporting role. This person will be embedded in the rhythm of the business, serving as the eyes and ears for program financial health, helping leadership understand where programs stand today and where they are headed.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain program financial dashboards, reports, and analysis to support leadership decision making.
  • Provide forward looking insight into program execution, including risks, opportunities, funding concerns, margin pressure, and forecast changes.
  • Help Program Managers understand the financial impact of operational decisions and customer driven changes.
  • Support monthly financial reviews, program reviews, and internal reporting cycles.
  • Monitor actuals against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and helping explain the why behind the numbers.
  • Work closely with Finance, Accounting, Contracts, and Program Operations to ensure alignment on financial data, contract structure, billing, funding, and reporting.
  • Assist with Estimate at Completion updates, revenue forecasting, workforce planning inputs, and program profitability analysis.
  • Improve processes, tools, and reporting methods that create better visibility across the operational portfolio.
  • Help ensure Veilant maintains strong financial discipline as the company scales.
What We Are Looking For
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance
  • Experience in FP&A, program finance, project controls, financial analysis, or a similar finance focused role.

  • Ability to work closely with Program Managers and operational leaders in a fast moving environment.
  • Comfortable translating financial data into clear business insights and recommendations.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with financial systems, reporting tools, or dashboards.
  • Ability to identify financial risks early and communicate them clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Comfortable working across Finance, Contracts, Accounting, and Operations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with both finance and non finance stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs, ask good questions, and drive clarity.
It would be nice if you have
  • Experience supporting DoD or Federal Government contracts.
  • Familiarity with contract types such as Firm Fixed Price, Time and Materials, Cost Plus, or hybrid contract structures.
  • Experience with program financial reporting, Estimates at Completion, project controls, or contract funding analysis.
  • Experience working in a growing company where processes are evolving.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
