Job summary

Van de Velde Packaging Group is seeking an FP&A Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning. You will develop and maintain financial models, generate insightful reports, and enable management with data-driven decision making across the organization.

The role requires 5+ years in FP&A or related finance areas, strong Excel and BI skills, and the ability to translate data into business insights.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in FP&A, Controlling or similar.
• Strong Excel skills; BI/reporting experience is a plus.
• Excellent analytical abilities with data-to-insights capability.
• Independent, proactive, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, manage and monitor budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans.
• Develop financial reports and perform variance analyses (actuals vs budget/forecast).
• Build and maintain financial models to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities from financial and operational data.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting processes, systems and tools.
• Support the consolidation process and ensure timely and accurate financial information.

About the Role

As an FP&A Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the organization's financial planning and decision-making processes. Through in-depth analysis, accurate forecasting and insightful reporting, you will provide management with the financial insights needed to drive strategic decisions and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, manage and monitor budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans.
• Develop financial reports and perform variance analyses (actuals versus budget and forecast).
• Build and maintain financial models to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities through the analysis of financial and operational data.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting processes, systems and tools.
• Support the consolidation process and ensure timely and accurate financial information.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, Controlling or a similar finance role.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with BI and reporting tools is considered an advantage.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and recommendations.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the organization.
• Fluent in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
