Job description

CSWR is hiring an FP&A Analyst to join our growing Finance team. This is a broad corporate finance role designed for someone who is analytical, curious, detail-oriented, and eager to develop across the full FP&A function.

This is not a narrow reporting role. You will work across monthly close and variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting, management reporting, board materials, covenant analysis, acquisition due diligence, and ad hoc financial and regulatory analysis.

We value accuracy, ownership, judgment, curiosity, and communication as much as technical skill.

What You’ll Work On:
Monthly Close, Reporting & Variance Analysis
  • Support the monthly close process and preparation of financial reporting
  • Analyze actual results against budget, forecast, and prior periods
  • Investigate variances, identify underlying drivers, and help develop clear financial narratives
Forecasting & Budgeting
  • Support monthly reforecasting, annual budgeting, and longer-term financial planning
  • Maintain and improve financial models, assumptions, and forecast accuracy
Data Analysis & Problem Solving
  • Work with large, complex, and imperfect datasets from multiple systems and sources
  • Quickly understand unfamiliar data, identify data quality issues, and structure and manipulate information to produce accurate, decision-useful analysis
  • Prepare recurring management reporting and support the development of board and investor materials
  • Perform covenant calculations and analysis and help maintain visibility into financial performance and liquidity
Acquisition & Cross-Functional Analysis
  • Support acquisition due diligence and work across finance, operations, regulatory, engineering, and other teams to understand financial impacts
Strategic & Ad Hoc Support
  • Perform ad hoc financial, regulatory, and business analysis and support transaction readiness and other strategic initiatives
Who You Are:

This role is best suited for someone who is resourceful, analytical, highly detail-oriented, comfortable working across multiple priorities, and ready to take ownership of work that touches many areas of corporate finance.

You’ll Succeed Here If You:
  • Enjoy figuring things out when the path isn’t clearly defined
  • Are curious about how the business works and want broad exposure to corporate finance
  • Communicate clearly and can turn analysis into a concise takeaway
  • Take ownership of your work and care about accuracy
  • Are comfortable taking a large, messy dataset and independently figuring out how to turn it into a useful answer
Required Skills:
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Strong foundation in accounting, finance, and financial statement analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with large, unstructured, or imperfect datasets and quickly transform them into reliable analysis
  • Ability to clearly explain financial results and analysis
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Education and skillset
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a similar discipline
  • 1–4 years relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, transaction advisory, public accounting, investment banking, or a related analytical role
  • Experience with forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, or variance analysis
  • Exposure to financial modeling, transactions, debt/covenant analysis, or acquisition due diligence
  • Experience in a fast-growing, acquisitive, regulated, or infrastructure-related environment
  • Willingness to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and learn quickly
