Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Eligible for Florida Department of Education Certification in appropriate subject area.

Responsibilities

• Instructs assigned classes as scheduled.
• Plans a program of study meeting students' needs, interests, and abilities.
• Creates a conducive learning environment.
• Supervises students to protect health and safety.
• Assesses student progress and maintains records.
• Diagnoses learning disabilities and seeks district help as needed.
• Enforces classroom rules and maintains order.
• Communicates with students and parents outside instructional hours.
• Plans and supervises work for teacher aides/volunteers with department heads.
• Attends staff meetings and serves on committees.
