Job summary

Gemini, Inc. in Decorah, IA, is seeking a 1st shift Foundry Specialist to join a people-first culture that leverages each team member’s strengths to bring our customers’ signage products to life.

The role offers a 5–8 hour day schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed. Base pay ranges from $20.93 to $27.99 per hour, and the position includes health benefits, retirement match, and other company-supported programs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 75 lbs occasionally.
• Maintain safety of self and others in the work area.
• Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pours molten metal into molds and ensures repeatable results.
• Troubleshoots pouring process issues and gathers feedback on castings quality.
• Charges and maintains the melting furnace in preparation for pouring.
• Ensures proper melt by adjusting temperatures, cleaning and preparing as required.
• Assembles sand-molds and ensures proper alignment.
• Uses hand tools such as saws, drills and sanders.

Wage Range: $20.93 - $27.99 per hour

Location: Decorah, IA

Type: Full Time

Schedule: 5 - 8 hours days 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday

• Overtime is scheduled as needed.

A day in the life of a Foundry Specialist at Gemini includes:

• Pours molten metal into molds, observing and adjusting to achieve acceptable, repeatable results.
• Troubleshoots problems encountered in the pouring process and actively gathers feedback on quality of castings
• Charges and maintains the melting furnace in preparation for pouring.
• Ensures proper melt by adjusting temperatures, cleaning, and preparing as required.
• Assembles all components of sand-molds, placing adhesive and insuring proper alignment.
• Utilizes multiple hand tools - saws, drills, sanders

Skills And Abilities

• Ability to lift 50lbs frequently and 75lbs occasionally.
• Maintains responsibility for the safety of oneself and other employees in the work area.

• High level of mechanical aptitude
