Job summary

Certus Recruitment is seeking a Mid-Level Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to develop capabilities for the US Army using Palantir Foundry. You will build analytical dashboards, support pipelines, and contribute across design to deployment within two-week sprints.

The role requires 1–3+ years of software engineering experience and proficiency with Python, TypeScript or Java. Collaboration with government stakeholders is key, with opportunities to grow technical depth in Foundry tools.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years' software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry highly desirable.
• Exposure to Foundry pipelines, Workshop/Slate and Ontology.
• Experience with Python, TypeScript and/or Java.
• Ability to independently build, test and deliver production-ready features.
• Comfortable working within agile engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience working within government, defense or classified environments would be valuable.

Responsibilities

• Build analytical dashboards using Foundry Workshop/Slate and underlying data.
• Support Foundry pipelines and CI/CD configuration.
• Develop metric definitions and data transformations aligned with the Foundry Ontology.
• Write and maintain production-quality code.
• Test and validate dashboards and data outputs.
• Support build scripts, automated testing and environment promotion.
• Identify integration issues and resolve blockers.
• Produce technical documentation and runbooks.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews and demos with stakeholders.
• Assist with defect resolution and platform enhancements.
