Job summary

Twin City Fan & Blower in Davenport, IA is seeking a general shop helper to support foundry operations. You will assist molders, mix sand, pour aluminum into molds, and keep a clean, safe work area while meeting production goals.

Responsibilities include operating forklift or crane as needed, following safety guidelines, reading basic measurements, and cooperating with team members to ensure quality and on-time delivery. Prior experience in foundry/manufacturing preferred.

Qualifications

• Foundry or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must understand verbal and written instructions.
• Team-oriented with good communication.
• May operate forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist molders with sand flasks, shake out finished molds, and remove castings.
• Mix sand for molders using the molders friend sand cutter.
• Pour hot aluminum into the sand molds.
• Sweep and clean work areas as needed.
• Operate bridge crane or forklift to move materials and supplies within the department.
• Transport product, parts, and materials using forklift, pallet jack, or crane.
• Collaborate with team to meet quotas and goals.
• Follow safety guidelines and report concerns to management.
• Read tape measure and use basic hand tools.
