Job summary

Metal Technologies is seeking a Supervisor in Training to oversee daily operations in the Ravenna production area. You will direct and develop a team, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity in melting, molding, finishing, and shipping.

The ideal candidate holds a High School diploma, 3–5 years foundry supervision, and experience with Disamatic molding and electric furnaces, plus strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate multiple tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• 3-5 years foundry supervision experience preferred, with Disamatic molding and electric furnace knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Utilize manpower and equipment to maximize productivity while ensuring quality standards are maintained.
• Oversee melting operations, inoculation, refractory work, and ladle repair as assigned.
• Oversee molding operations, core and tooling preparation as assigned.
• Oversee finishing, shipping and quality departments as assigned.
• Direct the workforce to produce, process and inspect castings in accordance with procedures and work instructions.
• Continuously train employees in safe work practices.
• Direct employees to maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Ensure that all iron poured, and molds made are within established parameters to ensure quality product. Has the authority to stop the production line should quality problems occur.
• Ensure that all castings are processed, stored, and shipped to meet customer requirements. Has the authority to reject any container of finished castings or to stop shipment of any casting.
