Job summary

Mueller Water Products, Inc. is seeking a 2nd shift Foundry Mechanic/Mechanical Maintenance Technician in Decatur, IL. You will install, repair, and rebuild foundry machinery, read blueprints, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems. The role requires welding, boiler work, and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• The work consists of installation, repair, removal and rebuilding of all Foundry machinery, equipment, material handling equipment, as well as repairs to building and grounds.
• Reline furnaces as required
• Read, interpret and work from blueprints, layouts, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams. Make sketches and rough blueprints as required.
• Skillfully set up and operate a variety of machine tools used in the performance of their duties.
• Make repair parts as required in the performance of their duties.
• Layout, set up, and perform all acetylene or electric welding and cutting operations as required.
• Install repair, maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Perform plumbing and boiler repairs as needed.

Salary/Pay Range:

$15.00-$32.50 The compensation range above reflects a good-faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment as of the date of posting. Individual compensation may vary depending on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the role, professional experience, job-related skills, achievements, and/or work location. The range listed is only one component of the total compensation package offered to candidates.
