Job summary

Victaulic is hiring for a Grinder/Molder/Production role at the Nephi, UT Horizon Foundry Facility. The selected candidate will perform a wide range of production and facility support duties as part of the team.

You will operate grinding and related equipment, inspect castings, and participate in safety and quality processes to ensure efficient production and on-time shipping of quality products.

Responsibilities

• Aid in manufacture and shipment of quality products by transferring, cleaning, painting plant equipment, guard rails, floor lines, storage racks, conveyors, offices, rest rooms, and related equipment.
• Operate, monitor and inspect assembly machines, dip tanks, paint lines and related equipment to produce a finished product and assist setup and material handling.
• Pack, inspect, prepare for shipment/transfer all products/materials and operate moving, hauling and storing equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and wear prescribed safety equipment as required.
• Report work performed, findings or inspection results, and time/materials used.
• Maintain clean work area and proper storage of materials/tools; remove waste/debris.
• Report injuries or unsafe conditions to supervisor and ensure plant equipment reliability.
• Perform duties to assure uninterrupted operation of the facility and promote a safe workplace.
• Participate in SRP, VPDS and other company initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste and quality.
• Inspect castings visually and dimensionally and record findings; maintain certifications for contract work.
• Operate grinding, conveying, cleaning, pressing and buffing equipment; sort castings and assist supervision.
