RTX in Durham, NH is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to operate and maintain heat-treating equipment on site.

You will perform refractory repairs, follow QA procedures, use the DCS, and maintain heat-treat records while supporting Lean initiatives.

What You Will Do

• Safely operate and maintain assigned machines and equipment.
• Perform refractory repairs on furnaces and other heat-treating equipment.
• Follow established paperwork procedures, quality assurance protocols, and shop floor policies.
• Operate furnaces using the Distributive Control System (DCS).
• Maintain accurate and detailed heat-treating records.
• Ensure adherence to strict parts specifications during production.
• Learn and apply Lean Manufacturing concepts to improve efficiency.
• Evaluate product quality and make minor equipment adjustments to meet quality standards.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Escalate manufacturing process issues to your immediate supervisor, Team Lead, or incoming shift as necessary.
• Support the production process by maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience operating and maintaining industrial machinery or equipment.
• Familiarity with quality assurance processes and maintaining production records.

Qualifications We Prefer

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in heat-treat operations.
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
