Job description

GC AI is the legal AI platform built for in-house legal teams. Your decisions shape the product, your impact is immediate, and you own your work from day one.

More than 2,000 companies run their legal work on GC AI, including 200+ public companies, 25+ unicorns, and teams at News Corp, Nestlé, Miro, Bass Pro Shops, Snyk, Skims, Liquid Death, Vercel, Zscaler, and TIME. The platform holds an 80 NPS, more than double the B2B SaaS industry average, which is why GC AI is the leading legal AI platform for companies of all sizes.

GC AI doubled ARR in six months. We raised a $60 million Series B at a $555 million valuation in November 2025 and won #1 Highest Customer Satisfaction at the 2026 SaaS Awards. Our investors include Scale Venture Partners, Northzone, Sound Ventures, and Guillermo Rauch, CEO of Vercel.

You’ll define how things get built, not follow someone else’s playbook. Six principles guide how the team works:

  • 1% Better Every Day: small, compounding improvements across everything you ship.
  • Customer Obsession: start with the customer and work backward.
  • Ship Today: bias toward action and iteration over perfection.
  • Find a Way: resourcefulness and ambition over constraint.
  • Care: be direct, like an honest friend, even when it’s uncomfortable.
  • Own It: full accountability, proactive communication, and attention to detail.
About The Role

GC AI is hiring its first Technical Program Manager at an important time. Revenue has grown 10x in the past year; we are shipping quickly and taking on more projects than ever. We need a clear way to see what is happening across those projects, make hard choices early, and ship reliably.

This is a build-from-scratch role. You will create the system for moving work from an idea to something customers can use. Everyone should know what is on track, what is at risk, what is likely to ship, and where a decision is needed. Your job is to make delivery clearer and faster—not to add unnecessary process.

We have already started. Our Launch Calendar shows upcoming releases, owners, key dates, launch briefs, and whether each team is ready. Calvin, our launch intake agent, turns a Slack conversation into a launch entry. These are early pieces of a much bigger system. They also show how we like to work: build something useful, put it into the real workflow, and improve it over time.

You will report to engineering leadership and work with Engineering, Product, Marketing, Legal, Sales, and outside partners. This is not a role where you only update plans and report status. You will improve how the company works, run our most important launches, and build some of the tools and automations yourself.

What You’ll Do
  • Learn how work moves from an idea to a customer. Find where it gets stuck, clarify ownership, and help teams close the gaps.
  • Keep a clear view of all major projects. Help teams set priorities, plan the order of work, and spot conflicts or dependencies early.
  • Set up and run a simple, useful project and launch reviews. Make sure decisions are made quickly, and automate follow-up when possible.
  • Lead our most important launches. Raise risks early and help teams make hard choices about scope, quality, timing, and what should happen first.
  • Improve the Launch Calendar and Calvin. Use agents and automations to collect updates, find risks, build launch briefs, send work for review, and notify the right people when plans change.
  • Pull information from Notion, Slack, Linear, and other tools into one clear view. Leaders should know what is on track, what is likely to ship, and what needs help.
  • Create simple playbooks, decision logs, and dependency lists so teams do not lose important context.
  • Make sure Marketing, Legal, Sales, customers, and outside partners get the information and time they need before a launch.
  • Get teams to use the systems you build. Measure whether they save time, remove blockers, and help us ship faster without adding busywork.
What You’ve Done
  • You have 7+ years of experience shipping complicated software across several teams.
  • You have built a new way of working, gotten people to use it, and made it better over time.
  • You build things yourself. You may write code, build agents, connect APIs, or make the first version of a tool.
  • You understand how AI products are built. You can talk with engineers about models, evaluations, data, APIs, speed, reliability, and the choices involved in shipping them.
  • Engineers trust you because you understand the details, ask good questions, and help teams make sound decisions.
  • You can explain a complicated technical problem to leaders in simple terms: what needs to be decided, what the options are, and what happens if we wait.
  • You use data and conversations to find the real problem, then help people solve it with calm and urgency.
  • You can build trust across teams, even when plans change, deadlines slip, or people disagree.
  • You like building from scratch. A blank page excites you.
Nice to Have
  • You have been the first PM, TPM, chief of staff, engineering operations lead, or similar hire at an early-stage company.
  • You have worked as an engineer or led work involving infrastructure, platforms, APIs, data systems, or distributed systems.
  • You have worked with model evaluations, data-quality systems, LLMs, or other parts of building AI products.
  • You have helped several teams start using the same internal platform, SDK, API, or workflow.
  • You have worked on enterprise software where launches involved Legal, Security, Compliance, customers, or outside partners.
What Success Looks Like

In your first 90 days, you will understand how work moves through the company, show us where it gets stuck, start a useful rhythm for projects and launch reviews, and automate at least one task that everyone hated doing by hand.

Within a year, leaders can see what is likely to ship and where help is needed. Teams find risks and dependencies earlier, launches no longer surprise Marketing, Legal, or Sales, and the systems you built are widely used because they make work easier and help us ship faster.

A Note On Pace

We’re building something new in a once-in-a-generation shift in technology and the legal industry, so we move at a relentless pace. We expect urgency, ownership, and good judgment even when things aren’t perfectly clear.

If you need structure and consensus to do your best work, this isn’t the right place for you. If you thrive in ambiguity and growth, work with intensity, and want real responsibility, keep reading. We’re excited to meet you.

How We Work Together

GC AI is a distributed company with team members across North America, and soon Europe. We believe that because our business is AI, human connection matters more, not less. We invest in bringing people together through our hub model: regular coworking sessions, customer dinners, team and company offsites. If you’re in a location without an office, expect up to 10% travel (and more for customer-facing roles).

Team members in the San Francisco Bay Area and Provo, UT (within 50 miles of the office) work together on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. As we grow, we plan to establish permanent offices in more hub cities, and we will look to our team members to help build that in-person culture. We currently hire across the United States and Canada.

Equal Opportunity Employment

GC AI is an equal opportunity employer that supports workplace diversity and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender identity/expression, national origin, age, military service eligibility, veteran status, sexual orientation, marital status, physical or mental disability, or any other protected class. GC AI is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodation to applicants with physical and mental disabilities.
