Job summary

EVONA is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to own the electrical architecture and hardware development for space drones, from a blank sheet through flight. This founding-level role requires hands-on hardware work, heavy architecture decisions and rapid iteration across the spacecraft lifecycle.

You will define the vehicle electrics, select components, integrate power and avionics, and drive hardware readiness for flight. Equity and leadership influence are offered.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in developing electrical systems or avionics for spacecraft.
  • Track record of full lifecycle hardware development from requirements to flight.
  • Strong hands-on capability to design, build, debug and test hardware.
  • Experience integrating electrical hardware within complex aerospace systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own the electrical development of space drones across the full lifecycle.
  • Define the vehicle electrical architecture from scratch, including interfaces and power integration.
  • Lead hardware through architecture, design, prototyping, build, test and qualification.
  • Select and qualify COTS hardware balancing performance, reliability, cost and speed.
  • Work hands-on with hardware, including building, debugging and testing systems.
  • Own electrical integration across the vehicle with flight software, GNC and mechanics.
