Job summary

Sandbar, a NYC-based software company, seeks a founding engineer to define and build features in our product and data platform, enabling customers to model and detect suspicious activity. You’ll work across disciplines with autonomy and a clear path for growth, shaping the product and career trajectory while advancing AI-enabled solutions.

You’ll collaborate with design, security, and infrastructure teams, and visit NYC occasionally as we build world-class software for clients.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent communication skills and strong ownership.
• Track record of delivering high-quality products and features end-to-end.
• Ability to turn real-world problems and opportunities into engineering solutions.
• Desire to work in a highly collaborative environment and continuously grow your craft.
• Experience or willingness to leverage AI in your code and the product itself.

Responsibilities

• Own and solve problems end-to-end across a broad range of technologies and systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to build new features in our product and data platform.
• Contribute to our technical vision and uphold high engineering standards.
• Leverage AI to continuously uplevel the quality and speed of delivery.
