Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with significant ownership of production systems.
• Strong experience designing and building search systems.
• Experience working with GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Experience building AI agents, agentic workflows or LLM-powered automation systems using technologies such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, OpenAI Assistants/Responses API or similar.
• Strong Python development experience and experience with modern Python frameworks.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and relational databases.
• Comfortable working with large datasets.

The company: Our client is an early-stage technology company using AI to solve one of the biggest information problems facing infrastructure development. Their platform brings together regulations, technical standards, permitting requirements and agency guidance from thousands of sources, using AI to make complex regulatory information searchable, structured, explainable and actionable. This is a founding engineering opportunity where you'll work directly with the founders and have significant influence over the technical direction, architecture and product.
