What You’ll Do

• Lead Mobile Development: Own feature development for our mobile application, from technical scoping and architecture through to implementation and release.
• Build with React Native & Native Modules: Build and optimize the mobile app using React Native, integrating with native modules (Swift, Kotlin/Java) for advanced functionality and performance.
• Drive Technical Excellence: Mentor and collaborate with other engineers, contribute to architectural decisions and set high standards for mobile engineering.
• Deep attention to user experience: Deliver beautiful, intuitive, and reliable mobile experiences.
• Integrate AI Features: Seamlessly integrate AI-powered features into the mobile experience, working with backend and ML teams.
• Design for Scale: Architect a robust, resilient stack capable of supporting millions of users and scaling to achieve top App Store ranking.

Qualifications

• Extensive Mobile Experience: 10+ years of software development, with 5+ years in mobile app development.
• React Native & Video Expertise: Strong experience in React Native and native iOS/Android ecosystems (Swift/Objective-C, Kotlin/Java); experience with video-first apps, video processing, playback, and real-time communication libraries.
• Video experience is a plus
• Leadership experience is a plus but not required; emphasis on technical excellence and impact.
• Interest in consumer, social, or AI-driven products is a plus.

Compensation

• Founding Senior Mobile Engineers: base salary $300,000–$450,000, with potential for higher for exceptional candidates. Equity grant: 1–5%.
• Additional benefits: free food and transportation.
