About the Role:
As a Founding Research Scientist, you'll spearhead the development of advanced generative AI techniques and novel rendering methods to power our unique virtual try-on experiences for online fashion, starting with jewelry. All candidates must love experimenting and be driven to translate complex research into real-world applications.
• Design, build, and fine-tune sophisticated generative models and immersive volumetric rendering techniques such as NeRF and Gaussian Splatting.
• Lead pioneering research and experimentation to translate theoretical advances into groundbreaking product features.
• Develop robust data processing and training pipelines for large-scale visual datasets.
• Continuously enhance models by integrating feedback-driven refinements to achieve high-quality, personalized outputs.
• Innovate across 3D avatar generation, virtual fitting accuracy, and real-time interactive rendering.
• Work closely with founders and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of AI solutions.
• MS or PhD in Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Machine Learning, or related technical fields.
• Must have proven hands-on experience with NeRF, Gaussian Splatting, or similar volumetric rendering technologies.
• Extensive experience in training and optimizing generative AI models, especially diffusion-based methods.
• Proficient in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX.
• A demonstrated track record of independently implementing complex ML research and optimizing training pipelines.
• Passionate about pushing boundaries in AI and creative visual technologies.
• Thrive in an autonomous, fast-paced startup setting, demonstrating proactive problem-solving and adaptability.
• Experience building consumer-facing AI applications or virtual try-on systems.
• Familiarity with computational photography or other immersive digital experiences.
