Job summary

Squad Health is seeking its founding product hire to work directly with the co-founder and CTO/CPO. You will help shape an AI platform that automates complex healthcare workflows and ships weekly with a world-class engineering team and a strategy/ops group deeply embedded in clinic pain points.

This 0-to-1 role focuses on driving the core platform forward, expanding into new provider workflows, and partnering with pharmaceutical manufacturers to unlock access.

About Squad Health

Squad Health is solving the biggest problem in specialty medications: access. Specialty drugs are on track to be an $800B market by 2030, yet roughly 40% of these prescriptions never make it to the patient. Not because the therapy doesn't work, but because the process doesn't. Providers spend dozens of hours a week on benefits verification, prior authorizations, appeals, and financial assistance, and patients wait weeks for medications they need now.

We built an AI platform to own this entire journey. Providers send us the prescription and our agentic platform takes it from there, automating the vast majority of the work and getting patients on therapy in days instead of weeks. In just one year we've already grown to serve thousands of providers across 40+ states, backed by world class technology and healthcare investors. On the other side of the marketplace, the world's largest pharmaceutical manufacturers partner with Squad to we solve critical barriers to access for patients.

About the Role

You'll be Squad's founding product hire, working directly with our co-founder and CTO/CPO, who led ML product teams at Google and Stripe. You'll build alongside an exceptional engineering team shipping powerful agents into high-stakes healthcare workflows every week, and a strategy & operations team that lives through a clinic's problems every day and deeply understands the opportunities inside the healthcare workflows we touch.

This is a true 0-to-1 product role with three fronts:

• Drive the core platform forward. Our AI automates complex, high-stakes healthcare workflows at scale. You'll own how it gets faster, smarter, and more reliable as volume compounds.
• Build into new product areas for providers. We win by putting providers first. You'll deeply understand clinic workflows, find the next painful workflow, and turn it into elegant product solutions.
• Stand up new ways to promote patient access. You will define how we partner with different pharmaceutical manufacturers and find scalable ways to drive meaningful access wins at a brand level.

You'll thrive here if you go embarrassingly far beyond what providers ask for, ship boldly while hunting for what could break, and never utter the phrase "someone else should fix this".

You'll have an outsized influence on product direction, customer experience, and how we build the product organization itself. You'll be involved in every critical business and product strategy decision we make, working closely with the founders to help the company continue to scale.

What You'll Own

• Partner with the founders to set product strategy and where we invest R&D resources
• Spend real, intimate time with providers and pharma partners to understand pain points and uncover the opportunities that others miss
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle: discovery, requirements, launch, iteration, and scaled rollout across our operations team and customer base
• Define success metrics and use our data, one of the richest datasets in medication access, to drive prioritizationHelp build the systemic points of collaboration with strategy & ops, our provider team, go-to-market, and of course engineering

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of product management in a fast-moving, high-growth technology company
• Track record shipping products from concept through launch and scale with clear impact
• Experience building AI-powered products, and comfort partnering closely with engineering on technical projects
• Background with operationally complex systems and workflows, plus a genuine partnership mentality with operations teams
• Strong analytical judgment; you use data to make decisions
• Exceptional communication and the ability to influence technical and non-technical teams alike
• Deep customer empathy, operating both strategically and tactically

Compensation & Benefits

• $150K – $210K depending on experience, plus meaningful equity as an early team member
