Job summary

Adapt is hiring its founding designer to join the small, high-output product and engineering teams. This end-to-end role defines how companies build, run, and govern their central agent with Adapt, from customer problem through exploration, implementation, launch, and learning from real use.

You’ll own product design end-to-end, ship core surfaces and a real design system, prototype in code when fastest, and collaborate closely with leadership in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years of professional product design experience.
• Experience at early-stage startups or strong portfolio of side projects.
• Expertise in Figma with fluency in modern prototyping methods.
• Comfort writing front-end code — HTML/CSS/Tailwind, ideally React — and shipping to production.
• Portfolio showing shipped product work and end-to-end ownership from problem to pixels.
• Strong interest in AI tools and models for product design.

Responsibilities

• Own product design end-to-end from customer problem through exploration, implementation, shipping, and learning from real use.
• Ship core product surfaces and design-system foundations frequently and cohesively.
• Build a real, code-backed design system used by engineering and product teams.
• Sit with early customers to understand pain points and feed insights into designs.
• Collaborate with leadership in San Francisco to align on strategy and delivery.
• Mentor and raise the bar for craft, speed, and user-centric decision-making.
