Job summary

Adapt is seeking its founding designer to join a small, high-output product and engineering team in San Francisco. You’ll own end-to-end product design from customer problem through exploration, implementation, launch, and learning from real use.

You will shape how the central agent is built and governed, from design system to production-ready code, partnering with engineers and leaders to move fast while maintaining taste in AI-driven products.

Qualifications

• 4–7+ years of professional product design experience
• Experience at early-stage startup or strong portfolio of projects
• Expertise in Figma and modern prototyping methods
• Comfort writing front-end code and shipping with engineers

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and ship product surfaces and system patterns that are clear and coherent
• Ship core product surfaces and design-system foundations
• Own core product surfaces in Slack and web
• Build and maintain the design system with production-ready code
• Collaborate directly with customers and leadership to translate problems into solutions
• Set and uphold high design standards and craft across products
