Turquoise Health seeks a founding product lead for its Life Sciences vertical. You will own the end-to-end product vision, strategy, and roadmap from first conversations to shipped products and early revenue.
You will partner with a GM and SME to translate market access and contracting knowledge into tangible product plans, prioritizing features and driving early growth in a fast-paced startup environment. Experience in pharma/medical device contracts and healthcare data is essential, along with
Turquoise Health is a Series C price transparency platform serving finance leaders across healthcare. Backed by a16z, Oak HC/FT, Adams Street, Yosemite, Bessemer Venture Partners, and others, the company powers price transparency for more than 300 enterprise organisations and is building the infrastructure for a more open, efficient healthcare marketplace. Its mission is to eliminate financial complexity and rebuild trust in US healthcare, and it has assembled the most comprehensive picture of negotiated rates and contract data in the country. Turquoise operates as a remote-first, US-based team that values transparency, empathy, inclusivity, creativity, and ownership.
This is a founding product role within a brand-new Life Sciences vertical at Turquoise. The company has established deep pricing and contract data assets across US healthcare, and life sciences represents the next frontier: pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers sit at the centre of how drugs and devices are priced, contracted, and paid for. You would own that expansion end to end, defining the strategy, shipping the first products, and laying the foundation for an entirely new line of business. You would partner closely with a dedicated GM and subject-matter expert as a true peer, co‑owning the commercial motion while holding the product line. This is not a role where you learn the domain from a colleague; you are expected to bring your own deep fluency in manufacturer commercialisation and contracting from day one.
You would own the full 0‑to‑1 journey: defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Life Sciences vertical, from first customer conversations through to first shipped products and early revenue. Working alongside the GM and SME as a peer, you would translate market access and contracting knowledge into a concrete, sequenced product plan and co‑own the commercial motion alongside it.
You would develop and defend your own domain point of view across manufacturer economics, covering chargebacks, rebates, gross‑to‑net, formulary, and coverage, and use that expertise to make sharp prioritisation calls. You would drive early‑stage concepts through iteration, execution, and enhancement, validating with real customers and making the calls that move the vertical forward under uncertainty.
In close partnership with Engineering and Data, you would turn Turquoise's pricing and contract data assets into products that solve concrete manufacturer problems.
You would facilitate coordination across Engineering, Design, GTM, and Legal internally, and manage relationships with key external stakeholders and customers.
Building direct relationships with pharma and medical device customers would be central to the role, and you would bring their reality back into the roadmap continuously.
You would also stay ahead of market trends and legislative developments so that Turquoise can anticipate tailwinds and headwinds in life sciences.
Turquoise is looking for candidates with at least seven years of product management experience and a track record of owning products end to end.
You would need at least five years in health technology, with a strong grasp of how healthcare data, pricing, and payments fit together.
At least three years of direct experience working with pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturers is required, giving you an inside understanding of their commercial and contracting world.
You should be able to demonstrate a clear ability to ship high‑complexity, 0‑to‑1 solutions in a fast‑paced startup environment with rapidly changing priorities.
Subject‑matter credibility in your own right is essential: you should be able to engage as a peer with a GM or SME, not as a student.
A clear track record of growth and increasing scope is expected, reflecting impact and staying power rather than just tenure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to influence and align senior stakeholders internally and externally.
Comfort operating in ambiguity and iterating in response to feedback is important.
A bachelor's degree is listed as a requirement, though equivalent experience or knowledge is equally welcomed, and the team is happy to work with candidates from non‑traditional educational backgrounds.
Bonus points are given for experience building EHR or data integration products, pharmaceutical or medical device contract management and modelling experience, and a strong hands‑on background with healthcare claims, chargeback, EHR data, formulary, or coverage data.
This role is fully remote within the United States. The team operates on US business hours and works with clients entirely based in the US. Flexible working hours are offered.
