Mission Pet Health is seeking a Founding Partner Veterinarian to establish a modern, relationship-driven practice in Santa Monica. You will shape hospital culture, lead a medical team, and enjoy equity ownership with strong growth incentives.

Your Impact as a Founding Partner & Lead Veterinarian

This is more than a leadership role; it’s an opportunity to build and lead a practice in the heart of one of Southern California’s most iconic and dynamic communities. Livewell Animal Hospital of Santa Monica will be part of a growing mixed‑use neighborhood along Lincoln Boulevard, surrounded by new residential development, retail, fitness, and everyday conveniences.

As the Founding Partner Veterinarian, you will have the rare opportunity to establish a modern, relationship‑driven practice from the ground up with the autonomy to shape your hospital and the full backing of an established network. You’ll build your team, establish a gold‑standard medical culture, and create a veterinary experience designed around the needs of Santa Monica’s engaged and highly educated pet‑owning community.

• Build a Thriving Practice Culture: You will be the architect of a client‑first, collaborative culture, creating a practice that feels as personal and connected as the community it serves. From the client experience to the way your team works together, you’ll set the tone for medical excellence, exceptional service, and lasting relationships from day one.
• Lead and Mentor Your Medical Team: You will recruit, onboard, and develop your associate veterinarians and staff, building a highly skilled, engaged team around a shared vision for exceptional medicine. As the hospital grows alongside the surrounding residential community, you’ll have the opportunity to develop a team and culture that are distinctly your own.
• Drive Medical and Surgical Excellence: You will establish and maintain the hospital’s standard of care, ensuring the delivery of exceptional, personalized patient care while providing mentorship in general surgery and dentistry. You’ll have the opportunity to build a trusted primary‑care practice that becomes a long‑term veterinary home for Santa Monica pets and the people who love them.
• Partner in Business Ownership: You will work directly with your Hospital Manager to build a thriving practice in one of Los Angeles’ most desirable coastal communities. Together, you’ll make strategic decisions that drive sustainable growth, build lasting client relationships, and establish Livewell as an integral part of this evolving Santa Monica neighborhood.

What You'll Bring to the Team

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and a license in good standing to practice.
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a veterinarian, with a strong foundation in general medicine, surgery, and dentistry.
• A compassionate and collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor and develop associate veterinarians and support staff.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and a strong understanding of what it takes to run a successful practice.
• Previous formal leadership or management experience is a significant plus.
