Livewell Animal Hospital of Manor is seeking a Founding Partner & Lead Veterinarian to establish a gold-standard urgent care culture. You will mentor a medical team, set care standards, and drive the hospital's growth as a co-owner within Mission Pet Health's network.

The role emphasizes leadership, medical excellence, and strategic business oversight, including extended hours and community-focused care in Manor and the Austin metro area.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and a license in good standing to practice.
• A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a veterinarian, with strong foundation in medicine, surgery, and dentistry.
• A compassionate and collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor and develop associate veterinarians and staff.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and strong understanding of what it takes to run a successful practice.
• Previous formal leadership or management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, and mentor a high-performing team of veterinarians and staff for extended hours coverage.

As the Founding Partner & Lead Veterinarian, you will be the cornerstone of the hospital, responsible for establishing a gold‑standard medical culture, mentoring your team, and driving the business's success as a true owner. • Build a Thriving Practice Culture: You will be the architect of a client‑first, collaborative culture, setting the tone for medical excellence and teamwork from day one. In one of the fastest‑growing cities in the Austin area, your standard of care will set the hospitalapart from day one.
• Lead and Mentor Your Medical Team: Recruit, onboard, and develop a high‑performing team of veterinarians and support staff building a hospital culture that attracts top talent and delivers outstanding urgent care to the growing pet‑owning communities of Manor and the greater Austin area. You will help build the coverage model that supports extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Drive Medical and Surgical Excellence: Establish the hospital’s standard of care for urgent workups, diagnostics, and surgery, ensuring every patient receives exceptional medicine while mentoring your team in general surgery, dentistry, and evidence‑based clinical decision‑making. You'll build a reputation as the trusted veterinary destination for pets across Manor and the greater Austin area.
• Partner in Business Ownership: Work directly with your Hospital Manager to manage the hospital's financial performance, making strategic decisions that drive top‑line revenue growth and position the hospital as a long‑term community resource.
• Shape the Future of Veterinary Care in Manor: Help establish a purpose‑built urgent care hospital designed to meet the needs of today’s pet owners. With a location at the highest traffic count intersection within 3 milesthat is surrounded by national retailers, restaurants, and growing residential communities, you’ll have the platform to build something that lasts.

Built Different: The Livewell Model

Each Livewell location is carefully selected based on strong demographic, market, and growth data, to give each Founding hire and the hospital the best chance for long‑term success. Livewell Animal Urgent Care of Manor will be located at Manor Commons, a growing retail and commercial destination in Manor, Texas.

Manor Commons neighbors include Walmart, H‑E‑B, The Home Depot, T.J. Maxx, Burlington, and Five Below, along with Wendy’s, Whataburger, Sherwin‑Williams, PNC, Bank of America, and Holiday Inn. Over 100 acres of retail and commercial space are planned to be built on all four corners, and a municipal park is under construction adjacent to the site for added traffic.

Manor is part of the Austin metro area, and new neighborhoods, apartment communities, and mixed‑use projects are planned or under construction around the site creating a growing, pet‑loving population with a steady need for convenient, high‑quality veterinary care.
