Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Governance & Operations Lead for Infrastructure & Planning in Cupertino. You’ll own operations, governance tooling, and analytics across ML compute, driving efficiency and cost savings while building a scalable hub-and-spoke support model.

You’ll partner with ML engineering and analytics leads to surface insights and guide investment decisions. The role emphasizes data-driven governance, telemetry, and metrics to ensure high performance and minimal project slips,

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in governance/operations, data engineering, analytics engineering, or large-scale compute environments.
• Ability to design and operate complex systems from scratch.
• AI-fluent and able to adapt to AI workflows and empowerment.
• Experience managing SRE and hierarchical support systems.
• SQL and dashboarding experience with analytical data products.

Responsibilities

• Own the daily operations of the systems you architect with a scalable hub-and-spoke model.
• Design and evolve governance tooling, capture allocations and utilization data.
• Bridge coverage as ML ecosystem grows across GPUs, TPUs, and custom silicon.
• Maintain dashboards, reports and alerts for efficiency opportunities and savings.
• Identify bottlenecks and build financial impact models for leadership.
• Deliver data-driven analytics to optimize ML foundation models and workloads.
• Design automated governance processes to meet Apple-scale ML demands.
• Produce strategic analyses to inform ML compute investment and strategy.
