Job summary

Optimum Communications Inc. is seeking a Lead Offensive Security Engineer to become a founding member of our Product Offensive Security team.

This hands-on role involves attacking our products across applications, APIs, mobile, IoT, embedded devices, SaaS, and AI systems, while building the tooling and AI agent workflows to turn findings into durable capability. You will set strategy, prove the model, and establish standards that future engineers will follow.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in security engineering or equivalent
• Experience as a founding or first‑in‑discipline hire
• Demonstrated self‑direction and ability to lead own pipeline
• AI-native working style with daily use of LLMs and coding agents
• Deep hands‑on testing of web apps, APIs, mobile, and IoT
• Experience testing SaaS, cloud, and AI systems
• Ability to build offensive tooling and write exploits

Responsibilities

• Stand up and scale product security assessment function from zero
• Lead threat-led assessments of products and assess trust boundaries and data flows
• Reduce dependency on third‑party testing for low/moderate risk apps
• Automate data collection, threat modeling, and triage to focus human effort on critical flaws
• Plan and execute hands-on penetration tests across applications, IoT, SaaS, and AI systems
• Design objective-based red team operations and partner with detection and response
• Build and operate AI-driven offensive tooling and automation across lifecycle
• Define metrics, governance, and technical direction for the function
