Skyrocket Ventures, Inc. is seeking a founding iOS engineer to build the next generation health and longevity mobile experience in San Francisco. You will own mobile architecture, deliver high-performance features, and collaborate across product, design, and clinical teams.

You will work in a fast-paced startup environment, shipping Swift-based apps with HealthKit integration and cross-platform considerations, while maintaining accessibility and reliability on all devices.

Qualifications

• Shipping consumer iOS apps with clear ownership and impact on users.
• Expertise in Swift, including native architecture, concurrency, memory management, production debugging, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in SwiftUI and UIKit; building native modules that bridge Swift with React Native.
• Understanding of app architecture, state management, networking, testing, and App Store release processes.
• Strong product judgment and attention to interaction details; balance quality and speed.
• Proven ability to work independently in a startup or small engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building mobile experiences in Swift.
• Collaborating with product, design, and clinical teams to clarify health information.
• Owning mobile architecture, reusable components, and Swift↔React Native integration (HealthKit, auth, notifications, media).
• Improving app performance, navigation, accessibility, and reliability across devices and networks.
• Owning testing, observability, release tooling, and App Store delivery with sensitive data handling.
• Working with web and backend engineers on shared data contracts and cross-platform development patterns.
