Job summary

Chesterton Academy of Winston-Salem seeks a founding headmaster to lead the creation of a Catholic, classical high school guided by the Chesterton Schools Network curriculum. The Headmaster will oversee curriculum, instructional leadership, student life, admissions, parent communications, and overall school operations, reporting to the Board of Directors and coordinating with the Executive Director.

Ideal candidates are practicing Catholics with a Master’s in Administration or related field and

Qualifications

• Education: Undergraduate degree; Master’s in Administration or related field preferred.
• Experience: Significant teaching experience in a classical school environment; prior administration ideal.
• Certification: Not required.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum and Academic Excellence: oversee Chesterton Schools Network curriculum and implement changes.
• Student Life and Discipline: ensure policies, oversee faculty and student programs.
• Parent Communications: communicate with parents and publish newsletters.
• Admissions: manage placement tests, applications, and meetings with prospective families.
• Guidance: organize standardized testing and college applications.
• Other School Operations: oversee vendors and other operational aspects.
