Are you a full-stack engineer with a passion for generative AI and the ambition to shape a product from the ground up? Do you want your code to directly improve how patients receive care and how clinicians deliver it?

An early-stage, mission-driven healthtech startup is looking for a Founding Engineer to join their small, high-caliber team. You’ll work side-by-side with the CTO and founding leadership to build a next-gen care delivery platform, leveraging GenAI to transform how providers interact with patients, data, and systems.

What You’ll Do

• Ship mission-critical product features that directly improve clinician workflows and patient experiences
• Architect, develop, and maintain full-stack systems using Python (FastAPI), React (Vite), and cloud services (AWS or GCP)
• Design and deploy GenAI-powered agents integrated into real-world healthcare settings
• Own integrations with EHR systems (via Redox, FHIR APIs) and build robust, scalable data infrastructure
• Collaborate with clinical experts and product leads to define roadmap, iterate fast, and talk to users
• Help shape engineering culture, tooling, and best practices as a true foundational hire
• Embedding AI agents into post-discharge care using EHR APIs
• Designing long-term memory models for personalized patient engagement
• Crafting next-gen UI/UX for collecting patient-reported outcomes in an automated, empathetic way

Your Background

• Strong experience across TypeScript, Python, and cloud platforms
• Familiarity with GenAI tooling (LLMs, vector stores, agent frameworks)
• Comfort in fast-moving, zero-to-one startup environments
• US Citizenship or Green Card (required due to data sensitivity)
