Jack & Jill seeks a Founding Engineer to own the platform end-to-end, building AI agents for automating construction bid workflows. You will architect high-scale Node/TypeScript services and ship a critical Electron-based desktop application.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer, ideally in a founding or early startup role.
• Strong proficiency in the modern JS/TS stack (Node.js, React, PostgreSQL) and cloud infra (GCP or Supabase).
• Comfort in fast-paced 0-1 environments, bridging architecture and detailed implementation.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build core Node.js/TypeScript services, balancing microservices vs monoliths for complex data models.
• Lead the development of a native-feel Electron desktop app for Mac/Windows with offline sync and automated updates.
• Design integration backbones to connect Procore, SharePoint, and Excel using asynchronous jobs and robust retry logic.
