Job summary

Comfy, the AI creation engine for visual professionals, is hiring one of its first front-end engineers in San Francisco. You will lead the design and development of core frontend architecture for new products from the ground up, and ship features that scale to real-world usage.

You’ll prototype new ideas, establish strong code quality practices, and collaborate closely with design, product, and backend teams to shape the user experience end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Shipped apps with real-world traffic or user counts.
• Experience leading technical initiatives and shipping scalable web/desktop apps.
• Strong expertise with modern frontend tooling (TypeScript, CI/CD).
• Expertise in optimizing complex UX interactions in web/desktop apps.
• Passion for fast, accessible, and beautiful UX.
• Thrives in fast-moving startup environments and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontend architecture for new products from ground up.
• Prototype and iterate features to validate ideas and UX.
• Establish code quality, testing, performance, maintainability.
• Collaborate with design, product, and backend to shape UX end-to-end.
• Contribute to key technical/product decisions as part of founding team.
• Mentor engineers and help build a high-caliber frontend team/culture.
