Job summary

Global Placement Firm is conducting a confidential search for a Founding Engineer to join a high-growth healthcare technology startup in San Francisco. You will shape the product, stack, and engineering culture from day one, working directly with therapists and founders.

You will ship continuously, make important product and technical decisions, and leverage AI to accelerate development and adoption in real-world settings.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience with ability to build and ship production products.
• Ownership of projects from idea through launch.
• Strong product instincts and ability to make non-technical decisions.
• Experience in startup/early-stage environments.
• Move quickly and iterate on user feedback.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Comfort interacting directly with customers/users.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate work.
• Understanding of modern software development practices.
• Autonomy with limited process.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship product features rapidly from concept to production.
• Own end-to-end technical and product problems from idea to user adoption.
• Work directly with therapists to understand workflows, challenges, and needs.
• Observe users and translate problems into product solutions.
• Make critical product and technical decisions shaping the company’s direction.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and continuously improve the product.
• Use AI tools to accelerate development and innovation.
• Explore AI-driven improvements to user experiences.
