About the Role:

- We’re looking for a Founding Engineer (Full Stack AI/ML) to join our small, mission-driven team building a cutting-edge platform focused on metabolic health. As an early technical leader, you’ll work across the full stack - frontend, backend, and AI/ML—while collaborating closely with leadership and scientists to develop real-world products. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role where your decisions will shape the future of both the product and the company.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, build and deploy full-stack applications with AI/ML at their core.
• Architect scalable systems using modern frameworks (React, Next.js, Node.js, etc.).
• Architect, train, fine-tune, and integrate ML models (LLMs, transformers, embeddings) into production.
• Own the technical roadmap and make foundational decisions about infrastructure, architecture, and dev tooling.
• Set up and maintain infrastructure, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and security best practices
• Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to ship impactful features quickly and deliver impactful user experiences.
• Write clean, well-tested code and troubleshoot issues across the stack.
• Help define and grow a world-class engineering team and culture

What We’re Looking For:

• Builder mindset: You love creating products from scratch and thrive in ambiguity.
• Full-stack expertise: You’ve built and deployed robust apps end-to-end across frontend, backend, and infra.
• AI/ML fluency: You’ve trained, fine-tuned, or deployed ML models (especially LLMs) in real-world products.
• Startup-ready: You’re scrappy, adaptable, and comfortable with fast-paced iteration
• Collaborative: A strong communicator who works well across disciplines
• Health-motivated – You’re passionate about leveraging technology to improve health outcomes (especially metabolic health)

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally including startup or early-stage product work.
• Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js) and backend technologies (Node.js, Python, Go).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with ML/AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, etc.
• A proven track record of shipping impactful, production-grade software.
• Demonstrated personal or professional interest in metabolic health

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience working in health tech or with medical data
• Familiarity with regulatory, privacy, or security challenges in digital health.
