About Us:

We’re partnering with a fast-growing AI-native startup that’s revolutionizing hotel operations through automation. They are looking for a Founding Engineer/ Technical Co Founder who can build their engineering team.

The Role:

This is an opportunity to be the first technical leader at a company solving massive, overlooked problems in hospitality. As the Founding Engineer, you’ll lead development across the stack and help bring AI-native workflows—from chatbots to pricing agents—to life. You’ll work directly with the CEO and founding team to architect scalable systems, own key business outcomes, and help define the product experience end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and scale the platform across the full stack (Python, Node, React, AWS)
• Implement agentic solutions using AI frameworks like LangChain and RAG pipelines
• Collaborate closely with the founding team to shape product and technical direction
• Manage and mentor engineers as the team scales
• Translate complex business needs into simple, reliable software that drives results
• Establish engineering best practices, timelines, and delivery standards

Skills and Experience:

• Strong experience in fullstack development using Python, Node.js, and React
• Proficiency in AWS and building production SaaS applications
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts, especially chatbots and retrieval-augmented generation
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
• Experience leading teams or mentoring other engineers
• Entrepreneurial mindset—hungry, resourceful, and ready to own the outcome
• Must be NYC-based or open to relocating for an onsite-first culture

The Benefits:

As a Founding Engineer, you’ll receive a $150,000 - $250,000 salary plus a performance-based bonus, along with equity. You'll also help shape the future of a company with massive upside, clear product-market fit, and a team ready to move fast.
