Job summary

Rowan is hiring a Founding Engineer to take our platform from local to production and run the engineering team that keeps it shipping. You will own deployment, CI/CD, monitoring, uptime, and security, and lead engineering project management with a weekly release rhythm and clear timelines.

You will mentor current engineers and build the team as we grow, collaborating directly with the CEO and Co-Founder. Location is Chicago, IL, in person, with compensation ranging from $150,000 to $200,000 base

Qualifications

• Has founded or led engineering at a startup from pre-seed/seed to Series A/B.
• Demonstrates ability to scale a product from prototype to production and reliable customer shipping.

Responsibilities

• Own deployment, CI/CD, monitoring, uptime and security for production platform.
• Lead engineering project management: sprint planning, release rhythm, timelines.
• Mentor and grow the engineering team as Rowan expands.
