Job summary

San Francisco-based startup is hiring 3 founding engineers to build AI agents for direct procurement at large manufacturers. You’ll own from the first customer conversation to deployment, manage an enterprise account, and grow into a team lead.

In-person, tight-knit team, 9–5, with high ownership and equity potential. Qualified candidates bring backend-focused full-stack skills in Python/TypeScript/Java/C++, a track record in competitive programming or quant work, and 1+ year of experience.

Qualifications

• Backend-leaning full stack in Python, TypeScript, Java or C++, with LLM agents, tool use and evals.
• A clear technical spike: ICPC, USACO, IOI or olympiad results, quant work, or a startup you founded.
• 1+ year of experience (roughly 1–4); exceptional new grads are welcome
• Based in the US and no visa sponsorship needed now (US citizen, green card or, for example, STEM OPT)
• In person in San Francisco, 9-9-5

A seed-stage startup in San Francisco builds AI agents for direct procurement at large manufacturers, and is already closing substantial enterprise contracts. It's an unglamorous industry with a huge need, and a small, driven team. You'd own everything from the first customer conversation to deployment, own an enterprise account, and grow into a team lead.

They're hiring 3 founding engineers.

What you'll own

• Backend-leaning full-stack work on LLM agents, tool use and evals
• Deployments at enterprise customers, end to end
• An enterprise account of your own, and later a team

Must-haves

• Backend-leaning full stack in Python, TypeScript, Java or C++, with LLM agents, tool use and evals (front-end-only won't fit)
• A clear technical spike: ICPC, USACO, IOI or olympiad results, quant work, or a startup you founded
• 1+ year of experience (roughly 1–4); exceptional new grads are welcome
