Fuse Health is building the infrastructure layer for telehealth. We're a launched startup on a mission to revolutionize how providers and patients connect — through scalable, secure, and seamless technology. Version one of the product is live. Now we need the engineer who will own it, harden it, and build what comes next.
This isn't a "join a big team and pick up tickets" role. This is: you are the technical engine of this company. You'll lead yourself, make architectural calls, ship fast, and care deeply about getting it right. If you've founded something before — or are the type who builds fully functional projects on nights and weekends because you can't help yourself — we want to talk to you.
What You’ll Do
- Take full ownership of the product: backend, frontend, infrastructure, and everything in between
- Make architectural decisions that set the foundation for scale, security, and reliability
- Identify what needs to be built, improved, or rearchitected — and go do it
- Optimize system performance, squash hard bugs, and keep the platform rock‑solid
- Collaborate directly with the founder to align technical execution with business goals
- Lead code quality through reviews, testing, and engineering best practices
- Wear every hat that needs wearing — this is an early‑stage startup and the work is the work
What We’re Looking For
- A true full-stack engineer comfortable across the entire technical stack: frontend, backend, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, DevOps
- Someone who has led themselves before — a previous founder, solo builder, or engineer who thrives without a manager telling them what to do next
- A track record of shipping real, working products — whether startups, side projects, or open-source work
- Deep backend expertise: you understand data modeling, system design, API architecture, and cloud platforms at a level where you can build things correctly from the start
- Strong instincts for when to move fast and when to invest the time to do it right
- Excellent communication skills — you can explain technical decisions clearly and collaborate across functions
- Experience with or genuine interest in telehealth / healthcare technology is a major plus
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands‑on experience
What This Role Demands
This is a founding engineer position at a company that just launched. That means 12+ hour days when the work requires it. It means ambiguity, context-switching, and building across the entire stack in a single afternoon. It also means enormous ownership, direct impact, and the chance to shape a product and company from the ground floor.
- If you want a role where you clock in, get assigned tasks, and clock out — this isn't it. If you want to build something that matters and own the outcome — let's talk.
