Job summary

TASE in Houston, TX seeks a founding engineer to work across iOS, web, backend, and AI layers. You will ship features, fix hard bugs, and help make strategic product calls. This early role offers meaningful equity and true ownership, with no one else’s system to maintain.

You will build the company’s engineering muscle alongside the founder and contribute across the product stack from day one.

Qualifications

• Several years of full-stack or platform experience with deep expertise in multiple areas.
• Track record of shipping in unstructured, high-ambiguity environments.
• Strong fundamentals in at least two areas: Swift, TypeScript, backend services, or applied AI.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain tradeoffs clearly.
• Founder mindset; focus on outcomes over titles.

About the role

As a founding engineer you will work across the entire product: iOS, web, backend, and the AI layer. You will ship features, fix hard bugs, and help make the calls that define how we build. The role comes with meaningful equity and real ownership. You will not be maintaining someone else system. You will be building the company engineering muscle alongside the founder.

What we're looking for

• Several years of full-stack or platform experience, with evidence you can go deep in more than one area.
• A track record of shipping in environments with little structure and high ambiguity.
• Strong fundamentals across at least two of: Swift, TypeScript, backend services, or applied AI.
• Communication skills. You can explain a hard tradeoff in plain language.
• A founder mindset. You care about the outcome, not the job description.
