Job summary

Rnb Consultancy in San Francisco is seeking an electrical engineer to help build and refine a bank of real-world electrical evaluation questions for space, defense, robotics, and advanced manufacturing applications. You will work directly with engineering leaders at customer companies and the ML team teaching models to score electrical work.

The role emphasizes hands-on hardware involvement from design through prototype and build, with a founding-team mindset and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in space/defense/advanced manufacturing/robotics.
• Hands-on hardware design through prototype and build (power, avionics, motor control or embedded boards).
• Experience interviewing engineering candidates.
• Desire to co-found and build hands-on products as a founding team member.
• Clear communication in challenging questions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the bank of electrical questions covering avionics, power electronics and firmware.
• Review every question for accuracy and realism.
• Turn customers' real workflows into evaluation criteria.
• Collaborate with ML engineers so models learn to judge electrical work.
